The week is almost up and the leaves are almost gone. It’s almost Halloween and the days are flying. Definitely time to catch on FriYay Happenings – October.
Friday is here! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS! It’s been a long full week. And I’m looking forward to some weekend “down time.” You know that illusive down time that one gets with 2 hyperactive toddlers. mmhhhmmm.
Even though the leaves are quickly falling, Fall is still showing off! The feel of the crisp air, the start of “cozy” clothing season, the painstakingly beautiful glow of the changing leaves, the taste of squashes, apples and hearty meals. It’s all happening right now and it’s all magical.
At home, things are fun and chaotic as usual. Our little Beany is a total monkey. We literally cannot keep her from climbing every chair and table in our house. And my Poppy is really into all things Fall and Halloween which is so fun! In addition to that, she has become a puzzle lover all of a sudden and we are loving it!
Life feels fairly balanced too. We have found a decent weekly flow and routine, with family and friend time sprinkled in. Especially after my last post, Mommy Time Outs, I found a whole wave of positivity and patience. I also have loved the many of you that have reached out sharing your own stories and version of Mommy Time Outs.

Here is what I’m loving in life and around the web:
We all need the perfect black cami right? Soft, organic, sustainable and absolutely amazing!
Our tot is turning us into a [amazon text=puzzle&asin=B002XKB0L8] family and I’m OK with it.
My little decided she is done with high chairs… she is only 14 months old! Our new [amazon text=solution&asin=B014D4H754] is working way way better.
Already made a big batch of these holiday delights and we destroyed them! It’s not even November yet!
The first episode of the new Chef’s Table proves that really good food does not need to be expensive, super fancy or stuck up.
My kids adore these healthy cereals! Who knew! (to me they taste like air… but I’m very glad they like it)
Trying to add a bit of savory plant-based goodness to my breakfast routine with this big yummy bowl.
Powerful stories through photography.
Been hooked on London Fogs, cozy sweaters and couch cuddles before bed.
With 2 girls who will someday be 18, I loved this NYT piece. All so different and yet so similar.
Lower back has been killing me lately, loving this resource for stretches.
Treated myself to this bra, and now I’m kind of obsessed.
Loving our Fall family [amazon text=movie&asin=B01C45OD6K] night tradition.
A reminder of what my people have to do to survive, and how lucky I am here.
Have a lovely weekend!
