Warm weather, flowers, farmers market and patio season… wooohooo! The long winter is over and I’m excited to share our Friyay Happenings – May!
Happy FriYay everyone!
Wow I haven’t done one of these posts in over a year! How are you? How’s life? So much to catch up on. Let me start with something new and exciting!
Recently, I asked myself “what is something you do that brings you happiness” and the answer I came up with was cooking for others! This is something I already do a lot, for friends and family and new parents. So I’m excited to share a new endevor that really hones in on my passion, Sweet Poppy Seed Meals!
SPS Meals is all about giving you and your family time to sit and enjoy a home cooked meal even on the busiest days without all the added mess and hassle of cooking.
Because let’s be honest, we all need a break sometimes and we don’t always have the time or energy to cook. My hope is to take my passion for cooking, make your family something delicious, and let you enjoy your family dinner time. For more information on how it works, meal options and more head over to Sweet Poppy Seed Meals. (Twin cities area only)
Tennis season is in full swing (wah wah …. get it?) and I’m starting to book up with lessons which has been AMAZING! Tennis is and will forever be my thing. And it’s so nice to get back out on the court and teach the sport I love to kids and adults.
At home we have lots of fun stuff happening. For example, in just three weeks our 8 month old Beany, learned how to crawl, stand, go upstairs and is now starting to cruise with a toy walker. WHAT!?
Also on that note, since this kid is so mobile I’ve realized just how many steps we have in this house and how impossible it is to keep this kid contained. There are honestly not enough baby gates in the world to stop her!
On the toddler front, we attempted potty training and failed miserably. Our conclusion was: she is NOT ready. So we are giving it a little time and will try again soon! Wish us luck, I get the feeling we will need it.
Other than that, I could probably sum up the last two weeks in just 3 words: germs, laundry and baths. All pretty inter-related. But with all of us being sick, the girls spending most of their free time playing with dirt at the play ground, and enormous amounts of laundry I’ve been doing lately, this has been our life lately.
Looking ahead, we have Poppy’s 3rd birthday coming up, travel, lots of visitors, summer fun, and yes, potty training again. I always get giddy for summer. This one will be our first as a family of four, truly enjoying our house, our city and the gorgeous twin cities weather!
Blogwise, I have to admit, I’ve been struggling. Some days I’m lucky if I even get to check my email! The girls have kept me busier than ever before and life has just been a bit more demanding lately. But that’s OK. I know things won’t always be this crazy forever, and I just need to breathe and go with the flow. I still love blogging and connecting with all of you when I can, so I will continue to do my best to keep making that happen!
And now in typical Fri-Yay style, I’m leave you guys with some of my favorite things from around the web right now….
Happiness in a nutshell.
Loving this song right now.
Move over rain boots, my toddler adores [amazon text=these&asin=B074H98Q61].
Want want want. But the question is do I really need them?
Our grill is out and I can’t wait to make these tacos for the hubs and these for moi!
Dying to try these sweet green crepes with a good drizzle of the good stuff.
My tot is finally into something other than the Moana soundtrack and I’m loving [amazon text=her new choice&asin=B004QEP38U]! It’s basically a Brazilian samba party at our house every day!
And last but not least, to all the moms out there, know that YOU are amazing. Being a mom is hard and exhausting and messy and thankless. Thank you for all that you do, day in and day out. I leave you with this gem from the lovely Tina Fey.
❤❤❤
