All you need 1 bowl and 7 ingredients you probably have in your pantry anyway! Brownies come out super duper fudgy, extra chocolaty and insanely delicious with a sprinkle of flaky salt.
You guys, I owe you big time! How have I never shared this recipe with you?! Well today is the day!!!!
Now let me first say that I don’t throw the word ultimate around lightly with recipes but this one deserves it and we LOVE it! They are ultimate in so many ways:
- Ultimate because they are fudgy and intensely chocolatey with a killer contrast from flaky sea salt.
- Ultimate because all you need are 8 ingredients, 10 minutes to prep and 20 to bake.
- Ultimate because they come together in just 1 bowl. Woot woot for less dishes!
- Ultimate because they are the perfect last minute dessert for informal dinner parties or for pizza game nights. And ultimate because there is no wrong way to eat these. With ice cream, strawberries, milk, coffee, or on their own, these ultimate one bowl fudgy brownies are “simply the best… better than all the rest.” Yep that good.
9 brownie squares
Yields 8 x 8 square inch pan
Ingredients
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- flaky sea salt sprinkled over top
Instructions
- Heat oven at 325°F.
- Line the bottom and sides of an 8×8-inch square baking pan with foil, leaving a little extra foil over the sides to make the brownies easier to remove. Spray the foil with a little cooking spray.
- In a glass bowl or 4 cup glass measuring cup, add the butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Microwave for one minute, then stir. Microwave it for another minute and stir. Keep doing this until mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla and eggs and whisk until smooth.
- Add the flour and stir just until mixed. Do not over mix the batter.
- Spread batter evenly in the pan.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. After 20 minutes check the brownies every minute because you really don't want to overcook these. The chocolate should look just set. Let it cool in the pan before slicing.
- If you eat them right away, brownies will be soft and a little messy. They will harden as they cool. If kept in the fridge, they will become easier to handle.
- Store at room temperature for 3 days or in the fridge for 5. They can also be frozen.
Notes
