Whether you cook a lot or a little, having a trusty cookbook to rely on is essential! Today I’m sharing all of my trusty favorites in Currently Loving: Cookbook edition.
I love a good cookbook as much as the next person but there is a big difference between flipping through a gorgeous cookbook and using a cookbook to make a delicious recipe.
These days most people including yours truly, use the internet for recipes. But there is something special about cooking from a good cookbook. Just like reading a real book vs a tablet is just plain better, reading a physical cookbook, propping it up in your kitchen, touching and turning the pages, it’s all part of the overall experience.
I have read countless cookbooks to gain inspiration but never actually followed many of their recipes. Then there are those cookbooks I’ve tried cooking out of that have not been easy to follow or just not great. Then of course, there are those real gems!
Let’s talk about those.
You will notice Ina Garten’s cookbooks are on the list. Yes I love Ina and kinda wish she was my bestie, but that aside, her books are amazing. I’ve made countess of her recipes, they are easy to follow and turn out perfectly!
I can’t tell you how many times this list of cookbooks have come to the rescue. When we have people over for dinner, parents are in town, hosting holidays or just in need of a good meal. The great thing about these books is I trust them wholeheartedly and know every recipe will turn out!
Pretty much all of these books make uncomplicated recipes. Of course some are a bit more time intensive and have more steps but overall the recipes are not difficult. As far as ingredients go, these books do a great job at incorporating inexpensive and easy to find ingredients.
So if you are in need of tried and true recipes or need a gift for a foodie friend, check these out.
