I’m starting to get bigger. Yep it’s happening. The belly is growing. I can’t get away with saying I ate a big lunch anymore. Baby belly is here and very much in charge. And as a way to share pregnancy updates and keep a nice little pregnancy journal of my own, I hope to post Pregnancy Updates every few weeks 😊
As always I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences too, so feel free to share!
Pretty darn good! Freaken finally! Aside from the occasional heartburn, life is going well! The main things I need to keep in mind are: limiting spicy food, eating smaller meals, avoiding heavy foods and eating slower. These things help me avoid feeling uncomfortable and nauseous.
I also have a lot more energy than I used to! Most days I’m up at 530AM and go to bed around 10PM! Woohoo! So for the time being I’m riding these good vibes out as far as I can.
Nothing too crazy really. Perhaps popsicles since the weather is warming up. Aside from that I’ve been eating very similarly to how I did before being pregnant. However I’m consciously trying to eat more protein, fiber and lots of good veggies. Trying to keep this baby and myself as healthy as possible especially while working out!
I had an amazing 2 months doing Yoga/barre classes which significantly increased my energy level and has made me all around happier! Yippee! But my indoor class season is now over. With warm weather, I’ve now turned to short runs, long walks, yoga at home and basic body weight exercises. Plus I’ve found that jogging while pushing a 30lbs toddler is a crazy good workout! Jeez!
Happy! And excited! We get to find out the sex of the baby soon! Like very very soon. And yes we are 100% finding out. Not going to lie, it’s my second favorite moment of being pregnant… after meeting baby for the first time of course. The good mood is also attributed to the warm weather, upcoming travel, exercise and some new daily healthy habits I’m digging.
Blagh… not great. I’m going to bed later and waking up early which is great for getting stuff done. But I’m sleeping rather awfully through the night. I wake up 2-3 times on average.
Poppy on the other hand is doing so-so. She sleeps well 4-5 days a week but still wakes up in the middle of the night pretty frequently. Sadly for her this is pretty good! Ha! Our goal is to get her to sleep through the night in a toddler bed and reduce bedtime down to 20 minutes by the time baby #2 arrives. We can do it!!!! (that’s what I keep telling myself)
We don’t have nearly as many things to do or prepare for as we did with Poppy (#1). But regardless I need to get going on a few things. Things like double stroller research both regular and jogger! Yes it’s true I am considering a behemoth double jogging stroller! The ones that take up the whole jogging path… yep that will be me and my kids taking up a whole lane! I really want to be able to jog with 2 kids so the search starts.
We need a new comfy chair for baby #2’s room, a dresser, and some other stuff that I am missing. Poppy needs a new mattress for her toddler bed and perhaps a new baby doll to take care of and love on the big day!
That’s life right now at 20 weeks… and I’m sure it will keep on changing.
