Did anyone’s week drag on? Mine went on and on. Blaghh! But made it to Friday! We have a pretty busy 3 week coming up so here we go!
It has been such a fun summer. The first summer when baby Poppy is discovering the world! It is so crazy to think that she started rolling over at the beginning of the year. Since then she started slowly crawling in March, then speed crawling, standing, and climbing this summer. So much has happened in just 7 months!
Our house Casa T is her own little kingdom. We have named her Queen Poppy. Not Princess. But Queen. The hubs and I decided the Princesses don’t really have much power at all. It’s the Queen who rules, thus Queen Poppy-pants. She reigns with an iron fist, normally jammed in her mouth or covered in yogurt. She is sometimes dressed, sometimes not… but never with shoes and socks. How dare we make her wear socks and shoes…the horror.
On this note I am pretty sure Queen Poppy-pants is on a mission to get rid of all her socks. She takes them off anywhere and everywhere we go and tosses them aside. So unless I am watching her little hand and feet 100% of the time, normally I only watch 99% of the time (yea right … more like 50%), it is impossible to keep track of her socks. Today we lost yet another pair at Target. Luckily I was able to find and keep her shoes.
Have I mentioned how much this kid loves music? I personally like music. Yea, I listen to the hip current songs on the radio (pretty sure only old non-hip people say that) and love dancing around at home or in the car. But that’s about it. And the hubs doesn’t have an ounce of music love in him. He is not a hater but just doesn’t feel the music much. He’s got some Queen on his phone but that’s the extent of music for him.
As for our child, this girl LOVES music. LOVES IT! She cannot hear music without stopping what she is doing to bust out into dance. Both arms in the air, full body dancing. Kid music, Spanish salsa, radio music, even elevator music, she will dance dance dance. I love this. She is our little dancing Queen and so far her moves are way better than both her parents’ combined.
I love this kid. Can’t help it.
One thing I am excited to share with your guys is my new Friyay plans. I have been posting weekly Friyay Happening posts now along with my favorite links and site for almost a year. And I love it! But in an effort to continue providing new recipes, drool-worthy photos, parenting and travel posts, I will be moving to a monthly Friyay happenings post. My goal is always to provide quality content for my fav peeps, you guys, my readers. And by shifting Friyay updates to monthly, I will be able to share more happenings, more recipes, more links, more shenanigans ,more of everything 👊
Like most things, this is a trial. So we shall see how it goes. If monthly doesn’t seem right, I will come up with something else. Change is good right?
And as always I love love love hearing from you. Feel free to say hi in the comment section, share a story, give me your opinion or thoughts. The best part of blogging is truly sharing my passion with you and hearing from you, so thanks everyone 😊
