Spring is peaking through and it feels awfully familiar. Last spring I was super pregnant and blindly planning what our life would be like come summer. This spring we are living with our little one and now planning what our life will be like in our next home.
We found a house! Yay we found a house and it feels like home! Yes it’s true! Obviously nothing is final until the closing date but I’m starting to picture our life there. Breakfast with the kid(s), Christmas with the family, warm nights around the fire pit with friends, Poppy’s first day of school, memories memories memories. At the same time thought, I’m thinking about your current home. So many great memories here. Dating the hubs, getting engaged, walks to the park, holidays, summer tennis dates, bringing baby home from the hospital 🙂 It is truly amazing the way life just goes by and you are left with just memories. This is why I love photos. It’s my way of trying of preserving memories for as long as I can.
I’m excited. OK I am really really excited. My mind is going wild with potential. Where to put stuff, how to decorate, ahhh so many fun decisions. However I am trying really hard to suppress my scattered thoughts and focus on preparing our place to sell. So in the meantime, I am learning the ropes on this whole house buying and selling business and being an “adult.” Let’s be honest though, I don’t feel like one. Half the time I feel like I’m a kid pretending to be an adult talking about things like mortgages and inspections and siding. All I can say is, thank goodness I have the hubs. It is much easier to pretend being a mature adult with someone else. “Strength in numbers” right?
With all of this in mind, it’s been a long week. My #1 priority has been cleaning and chasing baby Poppy around. How about you? Any fun and exciting plans this weekend? This weekend is my race! 10 miles here I come! Never mind that I haven’t been able to squeeze a run in in about 10 days! Ha should be interesting.
Happy weekend friends!
