Happy first day of April. Sorry for the late post. It’s been a crazy week and Friday just creeped up without me even noticing.
Can you believe it is April already? It’s a cliché but time truly flies. I’m not saying some days or weeks haven’t dragged on and on. But overall I can’t believe it’s almost summer! Woohoo!
Is it sad that we are starting to plan the rest of the year out already? I mean I do love planning but honestly we are just try to make sure we can fit everything in.
Weekends are a valuable commodity for fun, family, friends, vacations and in our case the house search. Especially summer weekends. Minnesota summer weekends are priceless. My hope and plan is that we can accomplish some of our “adult” responsibilities and life to-dos before summer so that we can just bask in the greatness of summer weekends. Ahhhhhh eating outside, runs, movies in the park, trips to the farmers market, BBQs, pool time.. so many things and so little time.
Then before we know it, its fall and winter holiday season! This season is always fun but a bit crazy! With lots of family events and travel, it always seems to be the shortest season. Then it will be 2017. One more year gone.
My goal this year is even though we have plans plan plans, I’m trying to live in the moment and enjoy day-to-day vs just living for the next thing on the list. Harder said than done for me. However lucky for me I have a peanut-size little girl that is helping me out with that 🙂 She has no plans. She just crawls around carefree enjoying life as it comes, finding joy in the most mundane things.
So I’m trying to take notes from Poppy’s book and live in the moment doing what I love. That includes cooking, sharing/making meals with loved ones, running, taking photos, spending time with baby and the hubs, traveling and eating… lots of good eating. Scenes from a good week:

Food can be art. And even better because you can eat it!
Love this acoustic rendition of last week’s FriYay song.
This has become my “go-to-I’m-feeling-lazy-and-the-hubs-is-working-late” dinner. With wine please and thank you.
How drop dead gorgeous is this bowl of goodness… ahhhhhhhh.
I want this spring dress or maybe this one. Anyone else like them!? Will they make my spring capsule? I hope so!
Ok even though it’s a bit early for Christmas, I might add [amazon text=this tool&asin=B00MG6ZEZM] to my wish list.
This [amazon text=lovely oil&asin=B004ULUVU4] was rated the best grocery store buy by America’s Test Kitchen. And so far, I’m been loving it. Is it weird that I love the square bottle design too!?
Favorite site of the week: Apartment Therapy. I’ve been raiding this site all week. Overall fun design, style and renovating site that will suck you into the internet wormhole.
