Can I get a Fri to the Yay Yay! The weekend is almost here and it’s Easter already!? Where did March go?
Can we talk about how it was 60 degrees 2 weeks ago in Minneapolis and it snowed this week? You would think coming back from time in the sun would give me a vacation high to last me a few weeks.. but nope. Also I’m a bit nervous. I have a 10 mile race in less than 3 weeks and I’ve only made it to 7 miles! And that was in 75 degree weather too! AHHHHHH. Lets hope they have a slow car that will pick me up along the course.
Easter is Sunday! Got any plans? Although not an actual egg hunt, I’m thinking of hiding random things around the living room and letting baby find them. Despite all the toys that she owns, her favorites include: a wooden spoon, half filled water bottles, parchment paper, cell phones, TV remotes and Ziploc bags. Gotta love this child ❤️
I need to confess that life at home has become much more interesting. As I shared earlier this week, miss baby pants is full on crawling. Give her 5 seconds and she finds the nearest electrical socket. Give her 10 seconds and the finds a fun electrical cord to pull on. Give her 15 second and she finds maple syrup on a table, opens it and pours it all over herself and the carpet. Needless to say I cannot give her more than 5 seconds alone. Hence life is much more interesting now.
As we impatiently await the play yard or baby gates [amazon text=play yard or baby gates &asin=B000G1YW98] in the mail, we have resorted to blocking things with laundry baskets, coffee tables, pillows, etc. Our house looks like a giant obstacle course. But despite the new changes, watching our speedy little mover explore is so much fun. The world is so exciting to her. Oh what’s this?! Let me pull on it, bang it on the floor or put it in my mouth. Oh look I see something shiny, I’m going to make a bee line for it. Nothing is safe.
On the food front she is eating a ton and loves trying new things! A little girl after my own heart. We share oatmeal for breakfast, or bananas for a snack. She will steal the inside of my muffins or the dough in our break basket at restaurants. I am in disbelief of how much she has grown up in 9 months and I cannot wait to see what each new day brings. I feel so fortunate to have this sweet happy little girl in my life and I’m thankful that she is patient with me as I am learning everyday how to be a better mom.
Happy 9 month birthday to my sweet little Poppy Seed.

Experiences are more valuable than things... so true, so true.
Justin Beeb’s Sorry song was the soundtrack of our vacation. We sang and danced to it about 25 times since it is all that played on the radio. It’s a catchy song… you know it is!
DD is back! If you are in need of an engaging binge worthy show, check out Netflix’s Daredevil. The hubs is digging it right now.
Fun new quiz for you. Cute animal or food?? Can you tell the difference?
This is my new running JAM. Sounds like old Destiny’s Child and it is fun to get sassy with it, even if you are running.
Since we packed carry-ons for our trip, we did not bring many toys. A family member lent us these [amazon text=foam toys&asin=B00SI63N48] and they were lifesavers!
Can’t wait to make baby Poppy these Pop-tarts! Even though I have a few years until then, I should probably test them out myself to make sure they are good…..
New favorite alert. LOVE LOVE LOVING [amazon text=Prairie Gold Flour&asin=B00M9F0RWU]. They use chemical free, non-GMO grains and the flour tastes amazing in muffins. Will be making some bread with it soon and will report back
Man vs Tiny Hamster! Who will win? My tiny money is on the tiny hamster. In related news, people have way to much time on their hands.
To me Easter = Carrots, so naturally these must happen! On the to-do list for Saturday.
Studies show, this is not a good conversation starter.
As spring temperatures approach, it will be time for my spring capsule wardrobe! Here are some of the trends of the season. Loving the white kicks, and striped skirts.
Genius ikea hack. Also crushing on bamboo flooring for the next house.
Favorite site of the week: Mommyshorts.com. Personal stories of a family of 4, hilarious average parents problems, parental wisdom and everyday messy moments shared thru fun posts, real life photos and videos. Former advertising director and Snapchat queen, Ilana, brings a realness to mommy-hood that is painfully comical and familiar. Big fan of both the Instagram and Snapchat pages for a good laugh too.
