One of the things I love and hate about the internet is the amount of cools stuff out there. Love it because it’s truly limitless! As a blogger I spend a lot of time on the web researching recipes, learning about different ingredients and social media-ing (verb right?) As a mommy, I also do a good amount of internet research. What’s the best sippy cup? Where to take swim lessons? What are good veggies for 6 months old? The questions are endless. However sometimes I hate the inter-webs because it’s so easy to get sucked in. There is little to be left to the imagination any more. Every curiosity or question I have takes me straight to Google. One minute I am researching a cake recipe, and the next I am researching a trip to Iceland or reading about the 10 proven tricks to keeping your house clean or getting lost in a cute dog video.
There is so much great stuff out there and yet so little time. And instead of focusing on the negative, I want to share the positive. So in an effort to share my favorite weekly fixations and random internet research, I am starting FRIYAY HAPPENINGS!
You guessed it! I will be posting one every Friday or FRIYAY as we call it in my house. And you can expect a completely random array of links, crazy musings and current happenings.
C’mon and share your favorite FRIYAY links in the comment section. You know you have some 🙂

♦ Winter walks. Pick a park, a lake, a river or even your neighborhood. Breathe in the fresh crisp winter air and snap a photo. Ain’t nothing better.
♦ Baby hearing protection earmuffs. I can’t tell you how many times this summer we went to a block party, brewery or event with loud live music. And we found ourselves stuffing blankets around Poppy’s head in her car seat to mute out the sound. Super rad kid earmuffs = life saver.
♦ Cabbage Rolls. These little mushroom, eggplant and beef wrapped roll ups covered in sauce look insanely delicious! Will be trying these out soon!
♦ Rolling over. Poppy is officially rolling over and over and over again! Woot woot. She has solved the mystery of tummy time and can end it when she wants. Poppy – 1; Parents – 0
♦ Master of None. Hubs and I just finished this Netflix show. Funny, thought-provoking and surprisingly relatable. Give it a shot, Aziz Ansari is a genius.
♦ Black Bean Quinoa Burgers. I made some loosely based off this recipe and LOVED them! Have been destroying these all week.
♦ Iceland. Yep Iceland. Gorgeous photos and travel experience as told by Ashlae from OhLadyCakes. I’m obsessed with going there. Hoping to escape to this winter wonderland in the next year or two.
♦ HIIT Workouts. Cardio and Pilates. Love this. In just 30 minutes you work out your whole body and trust me you will wake up sore.
Favorite site of the week: Bettysliu.com. Photos on this site are beyond words. This week I got lost in this incredible site for an embarrassing amount of time.
