Friday is my second favorite F word. My first is FOOD. Definitely food!
Another lovely busy week in the books. Can we talk about how amazing the weather was this week. I mean WOW! Beautiful, sunny and 80s…. Ahhhhh! Just sitting here in my perfect weather bliss. The long winter is totally worth it for weeks likes this.
Over at Casa T, we soaked up the rays by gardening, walking, picnicking, eating al fresco and basking in the glory of fresh air and open windows.
We are also getting ready for the big day. Oh yes our Poppy is turning ONE! What!?
Stop it. How has it been a whole year!? This week I have been reflecting on the last 365 days. Looking through old photos and thinking back at everything that has happened. How much my little girl has grown up. And honestly how much the hubs and I have grown up too!
Being a parent is amazing. Yea most of the time I’m just living every day trying to figure out how to get through and not totally screw my kid up. But it is still so amazing and I’m grateful. Being a parent this last year has made me less self-centered and selfish. When the baby cries at 3 am, I don’t think “nah sleep is more important”. Or I don’t think, “eww that diaper is gross, you clean it.” Nope life is different and yet so much better.
And who do I have to thank but a little squirmy, cheese loving, 4 toothed, crawling machine that has invaded our lives for almost a year now. This weekend we celebrate her. And even though her birthday is probably more for the hubs and I than it is for her, here is to you my Sweet Poppy Seed.
Happy weekend everyone! Only one more week to make it through before the long 4th of July weekend! YAAASS!!!
Linkety link time
One of my favorite ways to use fruit in the summer.
My coconut milk is just waiting to be used in this!
Did anyone else adore Father of the Bride? Look what’s for sale. I mean Franck, can he be my best friend?
This looks weirdly DELICIOUS.
Totally obsessed with these blank and white spaces.
One of each please.
Favorite Site of the Week: Brit & Co. Such a fun site with fresh and easy DIY ideas. I am totally on a DIY kick right now. Making some art work for Casa T. And although I am probably the least crafty person on the planet, Brit & Co shares such easy and straightforward projects, that even I can do! DIY projects coming to the blog soon… hopefully 🙂
