Life changed a lot for me since I left the corporate world. From project manager to stay at home mom/blogger/tennis pro. From long drawn out meetings, to play dates. From preparing presentations to preparing baby meals. And best of all, lots of daily adventures with my little sidekick. Here is a day in the life for Poppy and me:
6:05 AM: I wake up to baby talking in her crib and flipping through her little bilingual book that we leave in her crib.
6:10 AM: I pop a banana pumpkin pancake out of the freezer for baby along with some yogurt and blueberries. In the meantime, I make the hubs a kale peanut smoothie, pack some vanilla yogurt in a glass jar, and pack leftover green chicken curry from 2 nights ago.
6:15 AM: The hubs gets ready for work and gets baby.
6:30 AM: Hubs comes waltzing down the stairs with baby Poppy on his shoulders. She is enjoying the view from above and half asleep.
6:35 AM: Baby starts eating breakfast and the hubs gives us both big good-bye kisses before heading out.
6:45 AM: I get some dishes done, make coffee and grab some yogurt and toast. I had lots of toasted coconut left from a blog recipe. Baby and I eat together at the table with some giggles and dancing to her baby music.
7:05 AM: I watch Poppy read books in the living room while I respond to emails and pay bills. Then we play with some blocks and I watch baby go through her favorite tunnel about 15 times. I love our morning routine.
7:25 AM: Laundry goes in while Poppy re-arranges ALL of her Tupperware and also breaks into her cereal box!!!
7:35 AM: Cereal/Tupperware clean up and diaper change. Big time!
7:40 AM: Happy baby and lots of play time. Poppy and I play read stories and I chase her around the house and up the stairs. She just runs away and giggles.
8:00 AM: Laundry goes into dryer and we get ready for errands.
8:15 AM: We do our weekly groceries. Wednesday is double savings day which is doubly awesome! Poppy makes friends with other babies at the grocery store and tries to eat through a box of granola bars. I get a handful of dark chocolate dusted sea salt almonds and some matcha tea power as a little treat for myself. So excited!
9:10 AM: Back at home, it is snack time. Baby and I each eat a zucchini, carrot, pineapple muffin. I made a batch last week and freeze them individually. I eat mine with natural peanut butter and baby enjoys hers plain.
9:30 AM: Baby plays with her toys for a little bit while I fold laundry and do a little writting.
10 AM: Baby is getting a little tired which is my que to go for a run. We get ready and head out for a 4 mile run.
10:45 AM: Baby falls asleep in the stroller so I carry her and put her in her crib. I take a much needed shower!
11:10 AM: Make a quick healthy lunch (Greek-ish salad with hummus) and eat on the table while doing some blog writing and research.
11:30 AM: Make a matcha latte, finish writing a blog posts and editing photos.
12 PM: Make Cheesy Cauliflower Sprouted Rice Casserole for dinner based on this recipe. Also make some cookies for an upcoming blog post. Take photos of the cookies for blog.
1:15 PM: Poppy starts talking through the monitor.
1:20 PM: Lunch time for baby. Today its grass-fed burger with a little kale, roasted sweet potatoes, carrots, and kiwi.
1:50 PM: Wash Poppy up and we get ready for the library!
2 PM: Poppy plays at the library with toys, books and a cute little girl there with her mom. I check out some cookbooks. That seems to be all I ever check out.
2:45 PM: Go straight to a play date at the park.
4 PM: Home to see Dada. He plays with baby while we catch up on the day.
4:30 PM: Poppy and I pick some berries and tomato (just one haha) outside and play for a little bit while dada does some housework.
5:30 PM: We all eat an early dinner since I have a tennis lesson.
6:15 PM: The hubs gives Poppy a bath while I clean up the dishes.
6:45 PM: I kiss Poppy and hubby and head out to my lesson.
7:15 PM: Back from lesson, I take a shower and the hubs and I retreat to the basement. We watch the Olympics, I do some blogging, we eat some cookies and then we just relax.
11 PM: Night night.
